Leading sports and lifestyle brand, SKECHERS launches a new collaboration collection with New-York based artist and illustrator Jeremy Ville last month. Taking inspiration from the ocean and nature, the Skechers X Jeremyville Collection sees colourful designs in a whimsical and vibrant art style that aims to spread positivity and inspire change in the world.
The new Skechers X Jeremyville Collection features a range of women’s footwear comprising high-tops, classic canvas sneakers, and slip-on shoes, as well as unisex apparel with hoodies, pullovers, T-shirts. There is also a selection of men’s bottoms featuring these illustrations.
Jeremy Ville, who has been featured in The New York Times’ list of ‘100 Best Illustrators in the World’, is recognised for his whimsical creativity and colourful style while imbuing uplifting messages into his artwork. The design inspiration behind the new Skechers X Jeremyville Collection stems from the birthplace of Skechers itself – sunny California, well-known for its beaches and palm trees.
The distinctive and vibrant illustrations represent a powerful message of love for the ocean and our natural earth, and to inspire youth and young adults alike to bring change to the world with positivity and authenticity. At the same time, the whimsical and playful art style hopes to evoke a sense of play, to invite the young and young-at-heart into a wonderland of their own.
Created with a selection of bright and vibrant colours, as well as symbolic elements such as rainbows, palm trees, the blue earth and marine sea creatures, these illustrations feature across the various new items in the Skechers X Jeremyville collection. The collection also reimagines the ‘SKECHERS’ lettering in a playful and animated bubble-font style, adding a touch of fun to your look.
Headlining the Skechers X Jeremyville collection is Skechers Brand Ambassador Niu Chao, who gained popularity among fans and audiences during his participation in the idol survival show “Idol Camp 2019”.
The Skechers X Jeremyville Collection has been launched online in August at Skechers flagship store on Lazada and will also be available in-store at selected Skechers stores.
