After their much-talked-about collaboration with Kenzo (set for November 3 this year), H&M is about to release their latest AW collection called H&M Studio.
The H&M Studio new AW16 collection is an elevated collection of individual pieces rich in detail, from the precision of cut to the embroideries that appear throughout. Tailoring has oversized shoulders and a fitted waist, an hourglass shape which contrasts with Swedish folkloric influences in both silhouette and embellishment.
Ann-Sofie Johansson, H&M’s creative advisor describes, “This collection is about the strength and beauty of women, and how we express that power through our style. I love the contrast of strong tailoring with handicraft touches of Swedish heritage and folklore.”
H&M Studio is the key seasonal collection from H&M, with its own dedicated design team. Here we have picked out our 10 most wearable looks from the collection that we’d most like to see in our wardrobes, in no particular order.
The H&M Studio AW16 women’s collection is available from September 8 at H&M Avenue K.
