Renowned photographer, Bruce Weber shot Versace Spring/Summer 2017 campaign which encapsulates the freedom and dynamism of summer, the active mood that is at the heart of Versace SS17 for both men and women.
Conceived by artistic director Donatella Versace, the campaign features models such as Edie Campbell and Anna Ewers in the Kentucky countryside, surrounded by horses.
“Creating the visual campaign for Donatella’s new collection has been exciting because it involves nature and horses and freedom. Freedom of choice, freedom of expression and freedom of speech. I think it’s always interesting that fashion can carry messages in a subtle way and make people think about their own lives and how they can make it better,” said Bruce Weber.
Edie Campbell stands in perfect balance on a horse’s back, in the flowing nylon parka she wore to open the SS17 show.
Among those appearing in the men’s campaign are actor Mitchell Slaggert, who is in total harmony with the animals around him, and musician Jake Lahrman.
“This is a collection about the dynamic moment and the freedom of the Versace life. There is no-one I know who can capture that spirit and energy like Bruce Weber,” said Donatella Versace.
