Burberry will be staging its first straight-to-consumer collection live from Makers House in Soho, at London Fashion Week, on Monday September 19 at 7:30pm (Tuesday September 20 at 2:30am in Malaysia.)
The runway show will be viewable on Burberry.com, YouTube, and for the first time, on Facebook Live, allowing users to watch the live show in real time with the stream autoplaying in their feed. It will also be shown live on WeChat and partner sites worldwide.
All 83 men’s and women’s looks from the collection—comprising over 250 pieces will be available to purchase right away globally both in-store and on Burberry.com after they have been previewed on the runway, through Burberry’s physical and digital retail network, shipping to over 100 countries.
The brand announced in a press release that the collection is inspired by American socialite Nancy Lancaster, who influenced interior and garden design from the 1920s, and also Virginia Woolf’s novel Orlando. The collection also introduces a new equestrian-style runway bag for men and women, The Bridle Bag, which takes its inspiration from classic British equestrian designs and Burberry’s outdoor heritage.
