ZALORA, Asia’s Online Fashion Destination, crowned the two winners of Make Me A ZALORA Model Cycle 3 (MMAZM) competition during the Grand Finale held in Manila, the Philippines last 5 October.
After a run of four weeks and over 7,500 entries from across six countries, the Grand Finale saw 12 finalists vying for the title. Jeremiah Lisbo from the Philippines and Yunike Francesca from Hong Kong emerged as the winners and won themselves a paid contract to be the Face of ZALORA in 2019. They will subsequently sign on with Upfront Models, the Official Model Agency for MMAZM Cycle 3. The two winners also received a year’s worth of wardrobe items from ZALORA.
The winners were selected by a panel of 5 individuals, among them notable industry personalities, including Watson Tan, Founder of UpFront Models Singapore, Ashley Wong Cheng, Head of Production, Florence Song Oon Hui, Head Stylist both from ZALORA Malaysia Hub, Christopher Daguimol, ZALORA Group PR and Social Marketing Director, and Paulo Campos III, ZALORA Philippines founder, and CEO.
The last leg of the competition was held over three days, 3-5 October, at the ZALORA Philippines headquarters and a runway show at The Island at The Palace. Launched on 1 August 2018 for a period of four weeks, MMAZM Cycle 3 was opened to both aspiring male and female models across the region in six countries. Using social media as a platform in the search for aspiring models and fresh new faces, participants were encouraged to enter the contest simply by uploading their best photos on Instagram using the hashtag #MMAZMCycle3. 12 finalists were chosen from thousands of hopefuls and they were flown to the Philippines for the Grand Finale.
