This Hari Raya, The Gardens Mall partnered with Food Aid Foundation to raise donations for the NGO as well as to encourage families to prepare traditional Raya recipes together through a series of video tutorials. As a member of Food Aid Foundation’s Board of Trustees, Chef Zamzani shared recipes to his rendang ayam cili api, nasi briyani Johor, and kek sarang lebah with The Gardens Mall’s followers on social media.
In addition to the monetary donation of RM10,000 to Food Aid Foundation, The Gardens Mall has partnered with its tenant, Jaya Grocer, to encourage its shoppers to do some good of their own. Shoppers can purchase bags of groceries for underprivileged families identified by Food Aid Foundation. For RM115, shoppers can sponsor a family’s groceries. These bags of groceries contain enough cooking oil, rice, stock cubes, flour, and some dried food to last each family a few weeks of daily meals. Shoppers who wish to purchase these grocery bags may approach the Concierge desk located on the Ground Floor for more information.
This year, the annual Hari Raya celebration at The Gardens Mall returns with hints of modern Moroccan flair in its décor. Stroll along the Ground Floor and create memories with your loved ones against a backdrop of delicate latticed lamps, plush pillows, and arched doorways. An eye for the modern and metallic does not undermine the value of a traditional Hari Raya. Accompanying the luxurious décor is a line-up of traditional musical and dance performances to be held at the South Atrium, Ground Floor.
