Guardian Malaysia roped in celebrities – Emma Maembong, Mawar Rashid, Syada Amzah and Aisha Liyana last week to give 100 children an exclusive shopping spree and iftar. The special outing for the children from the Pertubuhan Kebajikan & Pendidikan Cahaya Bistari at Batu Caves, Selangor, and Asrama Darul Falah (ASDAF) at Bukit Persekutuan, Kuala Lumpur, is in the Ramadan spirit of doing good and spreading cheer.
Assistant Manager, PR & Government Relations of Guardian Health and Beauty Sdn Bhd, Farahani Failul Rahman, who led the Guardian team in playing host at Dairy Farm’s Pusat Latihan Cemerlang at Bandar Kinrara, said: “As Malaysians, we all know Ramadan is a holy month where doing kind deeds and helping the less fortunate are strongly encouraged. And every year, in this spirit of giving and sharing, Guardian Malaysia, will reach out to those who are less fortunate and do our bit to help and to bring cheer to their celebrations.”
Shirley further said that it is Guardian’s hope that the children – boys and girls, aged from 4 to 17 – will take home with them, happy memories that will last way after the Raya celebrations are over.
