Beginning 22 November to 29 December, shoppers at Sunway Pyramid will be treated to an array of activities and shopping treats! This year, Sunway Pyramid is ushering in the season of giving and festive cheer with a German Christmas market.
Inspired by the Dresden Christmas Market, the oldest Christmas Market in Germany also known as Striezelmarkt, enter the concourse through a traditional market arch and be transported to Altmarkt Square, where the market is located surrounded by traditional German buildings and décor. In the heart of the concourse sits a 36-feet tall traditional Christmas Pyramid, featuring a magnificent display of rotating German carved figures on each level.
To ensure authenticity of the German elements used in the concourse, the German Christmas Market was launched in collaboration with the Malaysian-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry who served as the official advisor for the event.
For one weekend from 29 November to 1 December, shoppers can revel in more German festivities with the German Christmas weekend open to all! Dig into delicious German cuisine, shop for festive gifts and participate in exciting Christmas activities.
Shoppers can complete a special Christmas e-passport with five different activities. These include a Santa Ring Toss, Snowball Drop, Allianz Christmas Booth, Market Photo Booth and The Great Christmas Pyramid. Completing a minimum of three out of the five activities will qualify you for a reward, and one entry for a lucky draw to stand a chance to win exciting prizes.
On the weekends, Father Christmas himself will be there to liven up the festivities and meet shoppers from 1pm and 3pm. Shoppers will also be able to experience snow at the festive concourse from 1pm, 3pm, 5pm and 7pm. These special events will take place every Saturday and Sunday from 22 November until 25 December.
What better way to create even more memories than to make and take a little piece of a German Christmas home with you than to participate in a fun workshop? Try your hand at the various Christmas workshops lined up every weekend from 22 November to 29 December and make a German Star, mini Santa Sled or Santa Binoculars for the season. Pre-registration is required as each workshop can accommodate a maximum of 30 persons per session.
Those looking to treat themselves or their loved ones can also purchase gifts from retail booths such as skincare or beauty gift sets at The Body Shop or treat your loved ones by purchasing coffee as festive gifts at the Nescafe Dolce Gusto and Starbucks coffee collaboration booth.
