In a reality series called “Sweatshop Deadly Fashion”, Norway’s largest newspaper Aftenposten sent three young fashion bloggers all the way to Phnom Penh to experience what it’s like to be working at a clothing factory for a month.
Being shielded youths whose lives revolve around picking and shopping for branded clothing items at air-conditioned shopping malls, the teenagers were not prepared for what was waiting for them in the third world country. By the end of it, they were holding tear-filled interviews and questioning the treatment of the workers by the very fashion companies that they themselves have frequented.
