Setting a benchmark in Malaysia’s retail landscape, IPC Shopping Centre is ringing in the new year through an innovative ‘phygital’ celebration with its ‘IPC Live Shopping Fiesta’. Upholding the annual Mutiara Damansara New Year’s Eve countdown festival, the shopping centre will be adapting the event into a 12-hour continuous shoppable livestream consisting of exclusive deals, giveaways, and entertainment from local and international artists.
Running from 12.30 pm on 31 December 2020 until 12.30 am the next day, it will be Malaysia’s longest and fully shoppable Facebook Live. Viewers can shop virtually at their favourite IPC stores and participate in games and giveaways hosted by influencers such as Tata Wanqian, Koe Yeet, Natalie Chai, Fiza Saad, Ming Yue Ho, and Adzrin Mansor.
The countdown will climax with music performances by international singer-songwriter, Jeremy Zucker, and local songstress, Talitha Tan. Jeremy’s much anticipated exclusive performance is made possible with the collaboration and support of Spotify and Universal Music Group.
The tenants participating with their exclusive offers include IKEA Damansara, Harvey Norman, All IT Hypermarket, Fitness Concept, Popular Bookstore, Aeon Wellness, Padini Outlet, Happikiddo, Focus Point, Brands Outlet, Skechers, Dr. Hauschka, Jurlique, Crocs, Natural Home Décor, Cuticle The Nail Experts, Eight Days Salon, Stoneage by Good2U, Niki Cains Home, O.W.L Eyewear, Spotlight, Thule, Lelas, Hair Zone Studio by Michael Poh, Original Classic, Tsen Lighting, Oriental Persian Carpets, Brow & Co., and GMG TIMEWARE. The ‘IPC Live Shopping Fiesta’ offers shoppers a unique way to shop and be engaged as they welcome the new year. The 12-hour livestream event features tenants promoting their products and special deals, where shoppers can make their purchases anytime until 3 January 2021 within the Facebook platform. Also, IPC is collaborating with Lalamove to meet the same-day-delivery shopping demands for purchases made before 9 pm within Klang Valley. Shoppers can enjoy free delivery, capped at RM20 when they are the first 500 to make a purchase on 31 December 2020.
As the first in Malaysia, IPC Shopping Centre is bringing the New Year’s Eve countdown to screens with the following schedule:
- 30 pm: IPC Live Shopping Fiesta begins!
- 1 pm to 10 pm: Exclusive promotions and sales from tenants such as IKEA Damansara, Harvey Norman, All IT Hypermarket,Happikido and so much more! There will also be games and giveaways run by the hosts.
- 10 pm to 11.59 pm: Live performances by Talitha Tan and Jeremy Zucker.
- 59 pm: Countdown begins.
