Malaysia’s largest international book fair, Kuala Lumpur International Book Fair (KLIBF) 2016 is currently held at the Malaysia Agro Exposition Parks Serdang (MAEPS) until May 9, 2016, with objectives to promote the development of the book industry and nurture a stronger reading culture.
With 250 exhibitors participating, including local and international companies and other agencies and organisations, the KLIBF is targeting 2.5 million visitors for 2016. Visitors can look forward to seeing the latest books and promotions from publishers around the region. There are also book launches, seminars, conventions and other activities lined up during the fair.
In line with its carnival concept this year, KLIBF has set up a ‘street mall’ with indoor and outdoor activities. It features a mixture of educational and entertainment activities such as hot air balloon shows, mascot parades, food trucks and much more. KLIBF is open to the public from 9.00am to 7.00pm on weekdays and 9.00am to 9.00pm on weekends, with free admission.
