Santhawan Boonratana – Ms Grand Malaysia 2015
Santhawan Boonratana, a 26 years old marketing graduate who is an online entrepreneur, model and interpreter, will be representing Malaysia at Miss Grand International (MGI) 2015 in Bangkok, Thailand. She has been handpicked by the founder and president of Miss Grand International Organization, Mr. Nawat Itsaragrisil as Malaysia’s delegate to the grand final this year.
“I am truly blessed to be given this one in a life time chance where I always wanted to contribute for my country. I will definitely take this exposure and experience as a platform to improve my interpersonal skill but above all to be at my very best as I carry Malaysia’s name,” said Santha, who possess a mix of Thai and Punjabi’s parental background. She is currently undergoing a hectic preparation for the grand finals which includes catwalk and interview training, a strict diet and gym training regime.
Santha will be flying off to Bangkok on October 4 and begin her quest for the crown with plenty of activities organized for the delegates, including charitable activities to promote MGI’s motto ‘Stop The War’ campaign. She is expected to compete with more than 100 delegates from around the world. The 3rd MGI winner will bring home USD40,000. Other subsidiary titles include Best in Evening Gown, Best in Swimsuit, Best National Costume, Miss Popular Vote and Best Social Media.
Malaysians can show their support to Santha by voting her as Miss Popular Vote for MGI 2015 where the winner for this award will advance to Top 10. Miss Grand App is available on both iOS and Android.
MGI is an annual pageant running for the third year and expected to be a star studded event broadcast live around the world. Over 1.5 billion people have tuned in to watch MGI coronation night on television last year including live streaming on YouTube. MGI was recently added into the World Grand Slam Beauty Pageant along with Miss Universe, Miss World, Miss International and Miss Supranational by leading and renowned online beauty pagent portal Global Beauties.
