Hosted by Royal Bank of Canada (RBC), Global charity 5km fun run RBC Race for the Kids will be making its way to Kuala Lumpur for the first time on October 16, 2016 in the beautiful Perdana Botanical Garden in the heart of the city.
Everyone is welcome to run or walk the 5-kilometre course and take part in exciting activities at the post-race festival. This fun, non-competitive run is open to all ages and abilities and will see families, communities and RBC employees come together to raise money for RBC’s local charity partner, Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) Malaysia.
For its inaugural launch in Kuala Lumpur, RBC Race for the Kids has set a goal to raise over RM90,000 for RMHC Malaysia to build a Ronald McDonald Sensory Room at the Selangor and Federal Territory Association for the Mentally Handicapped (SAMH) in Brickfields, Kuala Lumpur, to benefit youths and children with special needs and learning disabilities.
The registration fees for RBC Race for the Kids Kuala Lumpur are as follows:
Adults – RM50;
Children (ages 4 – 15) – RM30;
Kids aged 3 and under – Free!
RBC Race for the Kids is an exciting series of eleven charitable runs supporting children’s causes in Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Trinidad & Tobago, United Kingdom and the United States. Increasing in popularity every year, RBC Race for the Kids events have attracted more than 100,000 participants to date, and raised over CAD 21.7 million for children’s charities around the world.
