Fabric, craft and home interiors super-store Spotlight revealed their six X’mas on-trend decorator colour palates for 2016 through their “Make it Merry” Workshop at Royale Chulan Damansara led by their Creative Content Manager, Nick Casey.
“We wanted an interactive workshop to demonstrate how to make personalised X’mas gifts and décor just by applying simple techniques and using a range of items that are affordable and can be easily found here at the Spotlight store,” said Casey. “We know that traditionally, Malaysia has a very crafts-oriented culture but somehow as we moved into the current digital world, craft-making seems to have made way for convenience and practicality instead.”
On top of that Casey added that crafts are making a quick comeback. He explained that , there is a rising trend of how people are starting to realise that crafts are actually a way to relax and take their mind off the stresses of everyday life.
