International furniture retailer, TEKNI FURNITURE, opens it’s very first showroom in Malaysia, bringing in an exciting brand new air of sophistication, elegance, and style in contemporary European high-end and refined interior furnishings and decor. Offering a fine selection of contemporary lounge, dining and office furniture, with coordinated accessories and accents to complete.
Established in 2014, TEKNI Furniture has since grown spontaneously with currently 10 stores in their home country of Taiwan; 2 stores in Shanghai; 1 in Wuxi; and the newly opened store in Petaling Jaya. With 2 more stores being planned for opening in Penang and Johor Bahru next.
Being a multi-brand furniture store, the showroom carries a wide, but carefully curated range of contemporary European furniture makers and designers. Products hailing from Holland, Spain, Belgium, France, and even Taiwan are currently featured in TEKNI’s showroom collection.
TEKNI FURNITURE, is a collaborated effort by 3 purveyors of furniture design and manufacturer, Peter Yu, Hans Chang and Bryan Yong – as the trio share the same passionate mindset for superb quality of designer furniture with affordable pricing. The team worked to locate and identify international furniture designer brands with highly competitive pricing – but without any compromise on important elements desired by the buyers in design, material, build, finishing, quality and style and bring them to customers who require, expect and respect the same values.
Each product that TEKNI carries is not only aesthetically attractive but they are also balanced with high-quality material, comfort of the user, and of course, the best standards of craftsmanship are some of the most important elements that Managing Director, Bryan Yong expects, “After spending 18 years working in one of the biggest sofa manufacturers in Malaysia – with 13 years as their R&D Manager and 5 years as their Business Development Director – I enjoy design and how furniture should fit the user and not the other way around”.
“I find happiness when I actually see my customers enjoying the beautiful creations”, he adds.
You’ll be able to find ranges from affordable mid-high to exclusive high-end price points with appealing styles and designs. But if you can’t decide on the colour or if a certain piece will fit seamlessly with your other furniture back home, you can always get some consultation from the knowledgeable store managers. TEKNI Malaysia also have the resources and capabilities to propose commercial projects such as hotels, offices or even condo fit-out, locally or internationally.
Some of the designer brands available at TEKNI include Montis from Holland; Gamamoble and KOO International from Spain; Olta from Belgium; HC28 from France; and their house brand, Tekni from Taiwan.
The furnishing is ready for pick up at from the showroom, however, customers may care to choose to place special orders from the item’s country of origin with delivery between 4 to 5 month.
Price range for the European brands start from RM9,000 for a Gamamoble (from Spain) full function 4-seater fabric sofa, and RM99,000 for a Montis (from Holland) luxury full-Aniline leather 5-seater lounge; while the Tekni house brand starts from RM29,000 for a full leather 4-seater sofa.
