A press conference was held with a common objective and vision that both Ticadoc and Sheraton Imperial Kuala Lumpur Hotel shared, which was to further expand the Malaysian hospitality horizon through Medical Tourism. During the press conference, Sheraton Imperial Kuala Lumpur Hotel was presented the First Certified Medi-Secure-Safe Hotel in Malaysia by Ticadoc. To be certified, hotels have to go through a series of audit, internally and externally, with a comprehensive list of strict safety and secure compliance to fulfill.
According to Frank Beck, Managing Director of Sheraton Imperial Kuala Lumpur Hotel, “Our participation with Ticadoc is part of our hotel business strategy to expand our market reach. Nevertheless, it is a platform that opens up opportunities, which does not only translate into business but also in hospitality service offerings targeted at Wellness and Healthcare travellers.”
Richard Stevens, Executive Chairman of Ticadoc had commented, “We are overjoyed with this presentation of certificate to Sheraton Imperial Kuala Lumpur as the first Malaysian Certified Medi-Secure-Safe hotel.”
In conjunction with the press conference, Sheraton Imperial Kuala Lumpur Hotel also launched its ‘Healthcation’ programme, a joint effort with Prince Court Medical Centre. This is its first ever produced medical-stay package namely ‘HI’ which stands for “Health Interaction.”
