In conjunction with the month of Ramadan, 75 children from Pusat Jagaan Lambaian Kasih, Kg. Sg. Penchala were treated to an evening of festive cheer.
There were total number of 25 McDonald’s employees who volunteered for this event helped the children to charity home with hari raya decorations, helped to give out meals for buka puasa as well as performed Maghrib, Isyak and Tarawih prayers together with the teachers and children. McDonald’s also sponsored McChicken and Apple Pie for moreh while Ronald McDonald entertained the children with a story-telling session.
All in all, it was a good day for the children from Pusat Jagaan Lambaian Kasih. McDonald’s Malaysia also handed out duit raya to the children whilst Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) made a donation of RM5,000.00 to the charity home and gave away school necessities to the children

RMHC Malaysia is McDonald’s Malaysia charity of choice since 1990 and is one of 300 RMHC Chapters worldwide. It aims to positively impact young lives in the areas of health, education and welfare through its four core programmes – Ronald McDonald House (RMH), Ronald McDonald Sensory Room, Ronald McDonald Gift of Smile Programme and Ronald McDonald Scholarship.
The Ronald McDonald House provides a home away from home for families of children undergoing medical treatment; the Ronald McDonald Gift of Smile provides corrective surgery and follow up treatment for children born with cleft lip/palate; the Ronald McDonald Sensory Room supports children with delayed mental development and the Ronald McDonald Scholarship programme provides financial aid to secondary school students from low income families who excel in their studies.
