Sony Mobile Communications just launched its ground-breaking smartphone, the Xperia XZs, where Motion Eye™ camera that’s the world’s first Super slow motion video in a smartphone, as well as the super mid-range model, Xperia XA1 that’s equipped with high-end specifications and a powerful octa-core processor.
Xperia XZs, RM2899
The Xperia XZs incorporates imaging know-how embedded on the Sony ‘α’ and Cyber-shot™ cameras to create the new Motion Eye™ camera system, the world’s first Super slow motion video in a smartphone. It’s also among the first Xperia smartphones to feature a memory stacked Exmor™RS sensor with technologies usually only found on premium compact cameras to provide 5x faster image scanning and data transfer.
Now you can create cool videos from your everyday moments by recording in 960 frames per second, providing Super slow motion video playback that is four times slower than other smartphones giving you more detail than has ever been possible in the palm of your hand. The Predictive Capture feature automatically starts buffering images when it detects motion even before you press the shutter button, so you can find a moment your eye may just have missed from a selection of up to four shots taken a second before you click.
On top of this, the new 19MP high-resolution sensor has 19% larger pixels to capture more light and provides exceptional detail and sharp images even in low-light and backlit conditions. Clarity, detail and texture are also improved to give exceptional image quality thanks to the redesigned G lens and 5.2” Full HD display.
The power button has a water-resistance and finger-print sensor integrated into it too! It comes in Ice Blue, Black and Warm Silver finishes.
Xperia XA1, RM1199
The XA1 beautiful borderless design are equipped with cameras that are worthy of a high-end premium status and octa-core processor but with a mid-range price. It has a rear camera that offers 23MP high resolution with a large 1/2.3” Exmor™RS for mobile sensor, bright F2.0 lens and superior lowlight capability. You’re able to capture your shot in just 0.6 seconds from the launch screen and the accurate Hybrid Autofocus, helps to capture and focus on the most spontaneous moments. The 24mm wide-angle lens, the rear camera and the front camera 8MP, 23mm wide-angle lens on Xperia XA1 will let you capture all the action even in a scenery or a group selfie so nobody’s left out.
There’s also the ‘Hand Shutter’ camera feature that allows you to capture the perfect selfie easily with just a wave.
With their power-efficient MediaTek helio P20 octa-core processor, you get a quick and smooth experience, whether you browse the web, watch a video or play your favourite game. It comes in Gold, Black, White and Pink finishes.
The Sony Xperia XZs and XA1 are equipped with a host of intelligent features:
- Qnovo Adaptive Charging: Monitors the battery’s health and adjusts charging current accordingly to avoid damage and maximise lifespan whilst Stamina Mode keeps your battery going for longer when you really need it the most by disabling some functions.
- Sony’s Smart Cleaner: Manages the performance and memory of your device by clearing the cache and unused apps automatically in order to attain the best speed and performance without degradation over time.
- Quick Charging: Gives you hours of power with just a few minutes of charging.
- Xperia Actions: It learns your usage patterns and suggests customisable settings and personalised recommendation that goes with your daily routine. For example, your Xperia can learn your bedtime routine and automatically adjust the screen brightness and call volume. Or if you’re travelling, your Xperia will be able to assist you before and when you arrive by detecting your location at an airport and suggesting you allow it to download offline maps and a local language dictionary.
The nationwide pre-order for Xperia XZs and Xperia XA1 will begin from 29th March until 9th April for RM2899 and RM1199 respectively at selected Sony Stores, Sony Mobile Stores, Sony Centres, authorised dealers as well as through 11street.
