- Sekinchan
Do you know that Sekinchan literally means ‘village suitable for plantation’ in Chinese? Known for its large plots of land to produce staple rice supply of Malaysians. It is very suitable for people who enjoy the greenery view as the paddy plantation is harvesting and reaping every 6 months. Best month to visit on the mature paddy is middle of May, while harvesting and reaping are June.
2. Colmar Tropicale Berjaya Hills, Bukit Tinggi
Bukit Tinggi is a small town in the Bentong district of Pahang. The weather is slightly chiller as compared to Kuala Lumpur as it lies about 2,500 feet above sea level. If you prefer some place chiller and nearer, Bukit Tinggi is about 1-hour drive from Kuala Lumpur. You can enjoy the French Theme building design and Japanese Village in Colmar Tropicale.
3. Melaka
Head over to Melaka and eat varieties of food if you are a foodie! Jonker Walk is the centre street of Chinatown, you can find Melaka Cendol, Durian Cendol, Chicken Rice and lots of local foods here. At night, Jonker Street is full of local charm as it has pubs and bistro on this bustling street of Melaka.
4. Sasaran Beach
Sasaran beach is a place where you can see Sky Mirror here in Malaysia. When the beach is low tide, you will be able to see sand and sea water where it will just like a mirror of the sky. In order to witness the beauty of nature, you have to book a tour to Sasaran Beach with the local travel agency. It is only available on the first three days and 5 days after the 1st and 15th of Lunar calendar every month.
5. Seremban
As compared to other short getaways, Seremban is more chillax. It is a town and the capital of Negeri Seremban. If you happen to go Seremban, you must try their famous food – Seremban Crab, as the crab is coated with some special sticky sweet sauce that you can’t find anywhere else!
