By now, you would have probably heard the good news that Southeast Asia’s most anticipated theme park – Genting SkyWorlds has opened its gates for soft opening on 8 February 2022. The theme park is currently offering 20% discount from its published rates for bookings until 31 March 2022. During this soft opening period, some attractions, rides, and offerings will be operating on a limited-basis, while some remain unavailable to guests as they are still in the final commissioning process.
To help everyone get the most of their visit, here are 7 tips to maximise your adventure at Genting SkyWorlds.
1. Book your tickets in advance for guaranteed entry
Park capacity for Genting SkyWorlds is limited during the soft opening period. As such, plan your trip ahead and secure tickets online at www.gentingskyworlds.com or via Genting SkyWorlds’ Mobile App to avoid disappointment.

2. Download the Genting SkyWorlds Mobile App
Make sure you download the Genting SkyWorlds Mobile App on your phone when you visit the theme park. This real-time mobile app allows you to navigate and experience the park seamless – from wait times for rides, attractions, and shows, to promotional offers and vouchers, as well as dining, shopping, skill games, photo services, and locate amenities.
Integrated with the Virtual Queue (VQ) for attraction reservation and itinerary planning service, you can use this feature to make reservations for selected attractions and experiences prior to and during you visit to Genting SkyWorlds. The VQ experience also allows guests to:
- pre-book preferred time slots for rides and attractions,
- create and edit boarding groups for multiple ticket holders,
- view recommended itineraries from personal preferences, and
- receive real-time alerts for bookings, among other features.
3. Plan your visit
To maximise your time at Genting SkyWorlds, utilise the mobile app to familiarise yourself with the park and identify your preferred rides and attractions. There are numerous ways to get to Genting SkyWorlds. For those coming from the Klang Valley, the quickest way is perhaps by car. You may park your car at SkyAvenue and follow the way finding to the theme park. Other convenient ways of getting to the resort include bus, e-hailing rides or take the Awana SkyWay cable car from Genting Highlands Premium Outlets. Enjoy an amazing bird’s-eye view of the theme park from the cable car ride, an experience not to be missed!
4. Pack all essentials
Given that the weather in Genting Highlands is mostly chilling, you are advised to wear comfortable clothes with a jacket or cardigan and covered shoes during your visit to the park. Bring a spare change of clothes may be necessary, as some rides may get guests wet! Locker facilities are available for rent if you want to store your personal belongings.
Outside food and beverages are not allowed inside the theme park. However, Genting SkyWorlds does offer an amazing selection of food and beverage outlets to cater to a variety of taste buds, dietary needs, and budgets.
5. Cashless Theme Park
Genting SkyWorlds is a cashless theme park, hence, do prepare your Genting e-Wallet to make any purchases. All you need to do is set up your e-Wallet through Resorts World Genting’s mobile app or get your GeMCard to make purchases in Genting SkyWorlds. E-Wallet kiosks are available in-park for new purchases, reload and/or refund. Genting SkyWorlds also supports other contactless payment methods such as,
- Credit / Debit Cards
- QR Pay or E-wallets provided by T’nG, Alipay, WeChat, Maybank, Grab Pay & Boost Pay
6. Safety first!
Genting SkyWorlds is open to fully vaccinated guests. Non-vaccinated guests who are 12 years old and below and from the same household are allowed to enter the theme park accompanied by fully vaccinated guests. Visitors must adhere to all rules, regulations, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) such as wearing a face mask at all times, MySejahtera QR scanning for contact tracing, using contactless or cashless payment as well as practicing physical distancing.
7. Above all, be prepared to embark on a fun-filled adventure!
This is perhaps the most important and the easiest tip to follow.
