World’s biggest travel site TripAdvisor announced the winners of its Travellers’ Choice awards for amusement parks and water parks around the world. The ranking of the world’s top amusement parks was dominated by attractions in Orlando in Florida, with Universal’s Islands of Adventure topping the list.
For the third year in a row, Universal Studios Singapore has been named the top amusement park in Asia. Hong Kong Disneyland came in second and Ocean Park, also in Hong Kong, is third.
Adventure Cove in Resorts World Sentosa was also ranked among the top 10 water parks in Asia, coming in sixth. Waterbom Bali in Indonesia, Black Mountain Water Park in Thailand and Caribbean Bay in South Korea took the top three spots respectively, while Sunway Lagoon Theme Park in Malaysia pipped Adventure Cove to come in fifth.
Globally, Universal’s Islands of Adventure in Orlando was named the top amusement park in the world for the second year running. Amusement parks in Orlando took the top three spots, with Discovery Cove coming in second and Disney’s Magic Kingdom in third. Siam Park in Spain was ranked the top water park in the world.
