Ten years ago, Brian Chesky and Joe Gebbia created the multi-billion dollar company after they let three strangers sleep on air mattresses in their San Francisco apartment. At the 10th year anniversary of Airbnb, they finally come out with something new again.
Last month, Airbnb announced at the launch of two new luxury tiers: Airbnb Plus and Beyond Airbnb. Airbnb Plus includes homes that have been verified for quality and comfort, after passing a 100 point checklist. “Airbnb Plus are all the comforts of home, plus more. These are beautiful homes, from exceptional hosts, and every single one of them is verified for quality,” said Brian Chesky, one of the founders of Airbnb.
On top of that, if you are booking an Airbnb Plus home, you will also receive premium customer support. For now, Airbnb is available in 13 cities around the world which including Australia, London, Shanghai and many more.
Currently, there are more than 2000 homestays available in Airbnb Plus, all of the homes are equipped with kitchen, bath essentials, hairdryer, bedroom comforts and many other amenities for the users to use when they stay in Airbnb Plus.
The company also hopes this will bring them to over 1 billion guests by 2028.
