The Mitsui Outlet Park KLIA Sepang which has been officially launched since 29 July 2015 has the potential of being the largest outlet mall in South East Asia after its Phase 2 extension. The ground breaking ceremony was officiated by the Secretary General of the Ministry of Tourism and Culture Malaysia, Yang Berbahagia Tan Sri Dr Ong Hong Peng last Monday on a 27,500m2 site adjacent to the operational Phase 1 of Mitsui Outlet Park KLIA Sepang.
The Mitsui Outlet Park KLIA Sepang is the driver for non-aeronautical growth within the KLIA Aeropolis Masterplan. Upon its full expansion, it will occupy a land area of 178,900 m2.
Phase 1 of the Mitsui Outlet Park KLIA Sepang comprises 128 brand outlets, including kiosks, bringing many of the top international and local brands together, and caters to a potential 49 million airport users and a 9 million populace within the vicinity. Phase 2 will introduce more premiums brands into the mix, increasing the offerings of luxury international and local brands in fashion, cosmetics, sports and accessories, with diversification into entertainment and amusement as well as inclusion of service based tenants. There will be an additional 500 car park lots made available to complement the existing 2100 lots.
