The Legatum Institute, a London-based think tank and educational charity focused on promoting prosperity, has recently released its Annual Global Prosperity Index, reveals the most prosperous and least countries in the world.
The Prosperity Index offers a unique insight into how prosperity is forming and changing across the world. It is the only global measurement of prosperity based on both income and well-being, as they believe that prosperity is more than just the accumulation of material wealth, it is also the joy of everyday life and the prospect of an even better life in the future.
The Prosperity Index ranks 142 countries according to their performance according eight equally-weighted sub-indexes i.e. economy, entrepreneurship & opportunity, governance, education, health, safety & security, personal freedom and share capital.
