W Kuala Lumpur launched its monthly’s Saturday Brunch “The Social Table” at its Pan-Asian dining restaurant, Flock, last Saturday on 14 May. Taking place every 1st Saturday of the month, from 12noon to 3pm, The Social Table will serve a plethora of varied dishes prepared by its Executive Chef Haznizam Hamzah and Head of Flock, Chef Suhalmi Md Tasir.
With a semi buffet concept – instead of all-you-can-eat extravaganzas, The Social Table at W Kuala Lumpur hopes to make the brunch more interactive, more engaging and more fun. The concept is rather simple – you get to pick one main, but the starters and desserts are all yours for the taking on top of that LIVE entertainment.
It will allow guests and diners to enjoy a relaxing brunch with live music, a variety of cuisine, and bottomless cocktails & wine! The brunch is served at Flock for an elevated-casual dining experience, with semi buffet style, plus a menu to order your special dishes prepared by the chefs.
Diners can look forward to a spread of dishes including chilled seafood, sushi & sashimi, hot oven, cheese, crackers and hummus, an artisan bakery and dessert. On top of that, diners can also order from the menu that includes a variety of signature dishes from both Chef Suhalmi and Chef Lroy, such as Brisket, Tendon, Skin, Smoked Egg, Hollandaise, Wild Sorrel ; Spice Lamb Shoulder, Aged Pumpkin Purée, Anise Jus; Free Range Chicken, Mushroom, Pearl Sago, Muscovado Turmeric Gravy; Betel Leaf, Tiger Prawn, Kaffir Lime, Ikura; and many more.
Complementing the experience are specially curated cocktails, wine and more beverages that feature healthy additions like cucumber cordials and interesting concoctions that feature local fruits.
The Social Table will also focus on culinary collaborations highlighting collaborative menus from Malaysia’s top chefs and homegrown brands that will result in producing magical results as ideas are shared, techniques come together, and ingredients from different worlds are combined in imaginative ways.
