Situated in a busy yet happening neighbourhood of Bangsar Telawi, LifeJuice is known for its cold-pressed juice, but now the company has added a salad bar to its brand. Therefore consumer can drink and eat healthy at the same time.
LifeJuice Salad Bar specialises in cold-pressed juice and they also offer a range of salads that will even entice non-rabbit food fans.
Dedicated to sourcing and using only the highest quality ingredients, the Salad Bar comprehends a menu with a starting price of RM 15. Though the prices may be on the higher scale, we can completely understand why. Besides that, they also make their dressing from scratch.
Rainbow (RM 15)
As its name suggest, this is a big colourful goodness bowl of salad, packed with chickpeas, carrot, red capsicum, cherry tomatoes, butterhead lettuce, quinoa, corn, kyuri, pumpkin seed and Italian vinagrette. Very nice texture to munch on, suitable for vegetarian as well.
Honey Hanoi (RM 22)
My favourite thus far – Honey Hanoi. The salad came with sesame salmon, red cabbage, red coral, glass noodles, black fungus, spring onion, mango salsa, and sesame ginger vinaigrette.
If you love sour flavours, you might like this one. The sesame ginger vinaigrette from scratch (made of fresh ginger and nutty toasted sesame seeds) is so good that you will want to put it on everything. If you are not a fan of sesame ginger vinaigrette, you can always opt for another dressing.
Chindian (RM 22)
The uniquely Malaysian Chindian salad had chicken masala, eco brown rice, sweet corn, arugula, coriander, pico de gallo, wonton crisps, chinese cabbage, sesame ginger vinaigrette. Even though they use chicken breast meat, it was still very juicy and rather delicious.
It is not that complicated to make a good salad, but oddly it is not something everyone able to do well. Brownie points to Life Juice! It is all about the balance of flavours, textures, and most importantly, using the freshest ingredients.
