Gourmet hors d’oeuvres styled by two Michelin star Chef Philippe Leveille which are specially catered for whisky lovers is now available at the exclusive whisky bar, SAFE Bubbles & Malt in Central, Hong Kong. The gastronomic twinning results from a new business association between SAFE Bubbles & Malt and the celebrated chef’s Hong Kong restaurant L’altro at The L Place, Central which is a sister restaurant to Chef Philippe Leveille‘s famed Miramonti L’altro in Italy.
Chef Philippe Leveille has created four appetisers with suggested pairings to distinguished rare single malts:
Apple Wood-smoked Mackerel with Cauliflower (HK$88) is recommended with SMWS Bowmore 3.200 or Adberg 10 Y.O.;
Slow-braised Wagyu Beef Cheek with Carrots and Asparagus (HK$148) compliments SMWS Glen Moray 35.113 or Springbank 17 Y.O.;
Foie Gras and Smoked Eel Terrine (HK$128) is suggested with SMWS Longmorn 7.89 or Hankushu 18 Y.O.; and
Marinated Wild Salmon and Crispy Cucumber Noodles (HK$118) matches Islay single malts Bruichladdich or Bunnahabhain 18 Y.O..

The workshop will be led by SAFE Bubbles & Malt consultant Mr Eric Huang, one of Asia’s Hong Kong’s foremost whisky experts and founder of the Taiwan Single Malt Whisky Association, as well as Taiwanese Ambassador for both Glenfiddich and William Grant & Sons.
