Moët & Chandon gave an unconventional and contemporary tribute to Madame de Pompadour, the 18th century “It Girl” who declared the success of Moët & Chandon at the French royal court, with the new 2018 Rosé Capsule Collection.
This quartz Pantone coloured limited edition bottle mirrors the floral nuances of rose featured in the Rosé Impérial’s bewitching bouquet that’s renowned for its radiant colour, the intense fruitiness and seductive palate.
Featuring the camera-faced marquise with her inseparable modern courtesans: a peacock-dressed woman, a cabaret-styled girl, and finally a seductive gentleman in a rock and roll look, the collage design echoes the mix of cultures that spread from the 18th century, when artists of diverse disciplines gathered at the royal court, all inspiring one another.
Moët & Chandon’s history is intrinsically linked with Madame de Pompadour’s influence. King Louis XV’s most powerful confidante, she was one of the first connoisseur and established customer of the French champagne house, introducing it to her influential royal entourage. According to legend, she once confessed that champagne was the only wine that leaves a woman beautiful after drinking. A true tastemaker in arts, literature, interior design and style, she played a key role in making Paris the European capital of taste and culture, influencing the French scene and beyond.
The Moët & Chandon 2018 Rosé Capsule Collection is available at B.I.G, Village Grocer and Wines Specialist Store. Champagne aficionados can also take part in a “Snap & Win” contest to win free entry to Moët Rosë Masquerade Party with their friends and two limited edition bottles of Moët Rosë!
