Botanica Deli is holding a Free Burger Day tomorrow on 21st November to introduce its new dinner-time concept of having some delicious Malaysian street-inspired burgers. It’s time to ‘bur-gembira’ at Botanica Deli and embrace your patriotic palate as Botanica Deli brings six of its chefs from multicultural backgrounds to each present their re-imagining of what is possibly one of Malaysia’s most democratic and favorite foods – the street burger of Kuala Lumpur!
Starting from 5.30pm, Botanica Deli will be giving away 150 free ͚’Nina’s Ayam’ or ‘Armstrong Shidah’ burgers to the first 150 in line for dine-in or take-away. The Street Burgers menu is made with pride by each of the chefs, and is a reflection of the diverse flavours and tastes of the Malaysian palate.
For chicken lovers, Nina’s Ayam Burger (RM23) and the Rooster Cham Burger (RM25) will surely tickle your tail-feathers. Bringing a band of merry men together is the Abang-Hood Burger (RM25), a burger put together by 4 bosom bros from the deli’s own kitchen. Another burger that will certainly pack a flavour punch is the Armstrong Shidah Burger (RM25), while Tito’s Got Fish Burger (RM23) will have burger lovers fishing for more with its fresh house-made halibut fish patty!
If you have an adventurous palate, the Risman’s Nasi Burger (RM25) is a unique assemble inspired by the flavours of the Far East. A burger is not complete without a side of fries so you can pick from Botanica’s famed selection of skin-on, criss-cross, curly or sweet potato fries accompanied with a choice of Botanica’s famed Chipotle Citrus Sauce or the savoury Kampong Hot Sauce. You can also choose to add on classics such as the Root Beer Float or the Coke Float.
Botanica also brings a nostalgic charm into its Street Burgers packaging by commissioning homegrown and celebrated cartoonist, Tazidi Yusof, to bring to life a series of caricatures representing the chef creators as well as capturing the iconic vibe of the street burger scene in Kuala Lumpur. Tazidi, who is curator of the Malaysian Cartoon & Comic House and comic artist of ‘Gila-Gila’ fame, will also have his artwork featured in the deli, taking diners back to the golden age of paperback comics popular in the 80s. The Street Burgers menu is a permanent offering at Botanica Deli, and is available from Monday to Friday (except public holidays) from 5.30pm to 9.30pm.
