Burberry’s Lunar New Year Capsule Celebrates a Festive Fusion

This Lunar New Year, Burberry honors the Year of the Snake with a thoughtfully crafted capsule collection and a meaningful collaboration with renowned Chinese bamboo-weaving artist Qian Lihuai.

Grounded in vibrant red, symbolising luck and prosperity, the collection reimagines Burberry’s iconic Check with a seasonal twist and introduces a sleek “B snake” motif. Highlights include outerwear, a trench dress, and jersey separates, with select pieces available in miniature sizes, such as a puffer jacket and scarf. Accessories perfect for gifting, like silk and cashmere scarves, leather wallets, and bag charms, round out the collection.

Celebrating tradition and craftsmanship, Burberry partnered with Qian Lihuai, a master bamboo weaver known for modernising the ancient craft. Qian created nine abstract serpentine bamboo sculptures titled the Us series, symbolising family, love, and unity. These sculptures feature in a campaign led by Burberry Ambassador Zhang Jingyi and photographer Walter Pfeiffer, and also grace flagship store windows across China.
