Finding out your skin’s undertone is a little different from your skin tone. Usual beauty products would label according to both your skin tone and undertone such as golden, tan, and warm beige. So knowing your skin’s undertones would help you determine a better colour match whether it’s for your makeup, clothes, and jewellery.
Here are three ways for you to determine your skin’s undertone:
1. From the colour of your veins
Take a look at the veins inside of your wrist. If your veins are more bluish, then you have a cool undertone. If your veins are more to greenish side, then you have a warm undertone. However, if you have both blue and green veins evenly, you have a neutral undertone which means you can pull off both warm and cool tones.
2. Silver or Gold Jewellery
Do you look better in silver or gold jewellery? Which tone makes your skin glow? A person with cool undertones shines brighter in silver accessories while warm undertones look more radiant with gold.
3. Do you get tanned or sunburned first
For fair skinned folks, they tend to get sunburned easily which could mean that they have a cool undertone but however, if they tan before they get sunburned then they have a warm undertone. Most people think that if you have a darker skin tone, you will take longer to get sunburned which could mean you have a warm undertone. But if you get sunburned before you tan then you have a cool undertone, same theory as the former.

But at the end of the day, if you love the colour then just go for it, don’t let your skin’s undertone stop you from having fun!
